I farm in San Diego and our frosts are very similar just going slightly below the frost point. I wonder some times if it's worth all the effort to protect the plants when they usually recover but just take a little longer to grow.

Re: Our Tomato Plants Survive the Winter

We'd love to see your photo - can you email it to us at farm@jbgorganic.com?

Re: Our Tomato Plants Survive the Winter

So much for the attempt to post the photo. I'll look forward to enjoying those in the months to come.

Already an old fogey at 42, I don't have an Instagram account (or the interest in downloading the app) but would love to share this photo of one of my seemingly endless "JBG" moments. The handsome devil wearing the stylish hat is Corey, one of the wonderful cashiers at Natural Grocers on Guadalupe. He's holding a bunch of your delicious carrots, which were the perfect complement to some Grandma's Humus and a great locally-sourced lunch. Please feel free to post far and wide!

Re: Stuck in the Mud

Great newsletter. I can't eat grapefruit, but the recipe works well with only oranges, and I've been putting the vinaigrette on all kinds of salads. We think they are delicious and try to pickle them and add them to soups or fish. A few radishes can brighten any salad and braising them with honey and beer makes them delicious. We will try to include more radish recipes in future blog posts.

Re: Take a Tour of JBG This Sunday

How do you know I have neglected radishes in my fridge? :-)

Re: Join Us for the JBG Potluck on Sunday

Anyone can come!

Re: Join Us for the JBG Potluck on Sunday

Hey folks - Is the potluck for CSA members only?

Re: The Fruits of Summer

just got a Vita-mix and want to try this, thanks

Re: Missing the Point

OMG, the Vietnamese Sizzling Crepes look absolutely amazing. I am definitely making those for my family this week!

Re: Missing the Point

Great newsletter!!
